Happy New Year!

We are home, we got home on new years eve morning after driving all night. We have had a good week, although I cant say it has been very relaxing. When we got home, the house was covered in dog hair after the dog being here for 10 days alone it was a huge mess. And he had been sleeping on all the furniture so it was a mess as well. So I came home and vaccuumed first thing. Then I went and got me a new vaccuum. I got a dyson, and I could not believe all the stuff it picked up off of the floor after I had just vaccuumed. It was disgusting. I LOVE THE DYSON! I would say if you can go buy one it is well worth the money. I had gotten some gift cards for Christmas so I used those to buy it. I tried to stay awake for the ball drop, but at 11pm I just couldnt take it anymore we had driven all night and I was just to tired to stay awake anymore.

On New Years day we just hung out. I cleaned for most of the day trying to get the house back in order. I had left a mess before we left. We cleaned out the girls toys and they were in boxes in the hall and we had our suitcases and it was just a general mess.

Wednesday I cleaned upstairs becuse I had run out of time the day before and finally unpacked. It was nice to have a clean house, although I am not sure why I clean the kids mess it up faster than I can clean. LOL

Thursday we relaxed for a while then went to a playgroup, and then home for dinner.

Today we spent the day reorganizing the playroom for our new toys that we hope will be here soon. My mom is shipping them to us, and was supposed to do that today. It is unbelieavable the amount of stuff they got.

So I will tell you a little about our holidays. On the 21st we left here at about 6:30pm and drove all night and arrived in Odessa about 2pm. Hubby and Step son went to Hubby's dads and the kids and I went to eat with my mom. Then to the hotel to check in. Then Hubby and his dad took the girls and Step Son to eat and G and I went to my moms for Pizza and girl talk. We left around 9, I was just so tired. So on the 23rd we got up and went and ate breakfast with my family and then let Step Son open his gifts becuase he was headed to his moms that day. We spent that day with my mom until around 10pm and then we left and I was to be back at 10am to let the kids open thier gifts from my moms friend Brenda. We got there and all got in, as we were inside opening gifts my grandpa was outside pulling up with the guy from the dealership in my new van.


I was surprised, I had suspected something, becuase when my mom was here she had mentioned that i should be more worried about what I was driving then getting a computer for Chrismas and she had called to get the milage on my vehicle and made sure I cleaned it before we left. But I did get the computer so i figured that was it. And she had mentioned the Mazda cx9 so I never thought about the new caravan. I love it! I am so lucky to have the family I have, they were worried about my car. I mean it wasnt that bad it was 5 years old with 70,000 miles on it. Yes it had some problems, but it was a good car. After I got the car I cleaned mine out and took it to the dealership to sign the papers on the new one. I was a little sad to let the old one go. I mean that is the car we brough Land G both home in. It was a good van. But I wasnt sad enough to keep it LOL.
That after noon we opened our presents with my family. Minus my Uncle B and his family. The kids got alot of stuff despite the fact that they are getting new beds. We then ate with the family and I had the kids leave about 8pm so they could get in bed for santa. I got them all in bed and headed back to my moms to put out santa. I spent 3 hours trying to put Ls gift together and my step dad helped and we never did figure ot out all the way . I gave up and just put it together the best I could thinking well we are going to take it apart to ship it anyway. She got one of those Rose petal cottages, and it was hard. I am sure when it gets here hubby will look at it an know exactly how to put it together. I jsut couldnt figure it out. I am not mechanically inclied. Give me a computer I can do it, but puting thing together forget it. LOL

The next morning the kids were up late suprisingly they slept until about 7:30 then we were off to my moms. They were so excited H got a bike and a Hannah Montana gitaur and a few other little things and some new earrings and a ring. L got the Rose petal cottage, and a sink, and oven, and a washer for it, and a few other little things. G go a Fishre Price Garage, and an Dress me Elmo and a few other things. They were very happy. Then we headed to Hubby's dads to open gifts. The kids were again overwhelmed with gifts, but happy. Finnally we headed to the hotel to shower and back to my moms. We stayed there for a while and that night was when I got to look through my grnadmas jewelry. It was hard for both my mom and I we both miss her so much. But I was glad to have a few peices that I can cherish. For those of you that never met her, she was into her jewelry, she always matched and was very pretty about it. I miss her so. Then I went back to the hotel and got packed up to head to my dads the next day.
26th we all got up got ready and took Hubby to his dads, my goal was 9am but it was 11am before I finally left. It was al ong drive alone with the kids, and then when I called and found out my dad was in the hospital it seemed even longer. But we made it there, I got the kids in and unoaded the car. Poor G I had to strap him back in because I was there alone and I couldnt have him just wondering around while I unloaded. He was not happy about that. But I got it done, got them ready for bed and got them all asleep and waited for my step mom to come home. She and I sat up talking for a while and I told her if she would come back in the moring after going to see my dad I would like to go up for a while. So I went and sat with him the next day. He felt really bad that we had come and he was in the hospital. But truly it was a blessing in disgise, becuase I never get to spend that time with my dad he is always working. And this time I got to spend time with him.

On friday Hubby got to Houston around 9, arived at the house around 10:30 and then after lunch I went up to sit with my dad and wait for the Dr so he could go home. My stpe mom had to get to the office. We waited until about 4pm before the Dr finally showed up. He gave us all the instructions, took about 30 min and then started the discharge papers. After he left, my dad loooks at me and says did you get any of that becuase I didnt. Typical man. LOL We finally left the hospital around 5:30. i had promised the kids if they were good for Daddy we would go to the rainforest cafe, so we waited for my stpe mom to get home to stay with my dad and we went. They had a great time.

Saturday we hung out and the kids go tot ride the hourse from across the street. They loved it!




On Suday we left about 6pm and headed home so we would not be on the raod with all the drunks. We got home and the kids dressed in thier New Years gear and we clebrated.
