What the hell is going on with people?

Last night a crazy man with a gun went to Hastings book store and shot 5 people, then drove to a local bar and shot and killed a 23 year old doorman, then drove to his home and shot and killed himself. Witness say he was yelling about white power. What is wrong with people? I don't understand how does being white make one better than anyone else. The man was crazy and apparently had a history of violence and was out on bond and had just been posted in wf most wanted. How did this man end up back on the streets? I am not sure we will ever know exactly what this man was thinking or why he choose Hastings and Toby's to go shoot people. The whole thing took the man a total of about 20 minutes including shooting himself. Its crazy, the whole town was scared I was supposed to go meet a friend at buffalo wild wings when she texted me, at that point apparently they thought it was gang related and she told me what happened. I told her I was staying home. She then told me the bww was closing and then that they locked them all in afraid for their safety. She was eventually let out and went home but she was scared, as was everyone who knew this was going on.

Today as the story unravels, no one is still sure exactly what happened why this man did what he did. And the whole town is left to wonder why? Why was this man let loose back on our streets with his history? Why did he go to these two places? Was this truly a hate crime? And if so why did he choose to shoot randomly at people? The doorman at Toby's lost his life trying to protect patrons inside the bar. This was a young man with a whole life ahead of him and to have it end so senselessly its just sad. I pray for his family and for the family of the shooter who is left to wonder why and what happened? How this person they love could do such a thing.

For today I will hug my kids a little tighter tell those I love how much they mean to me and thank the Lord that we are all here. Please do the same with your family and please pray for all the victims of this senseless crime.
